Celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival at Montgomery’s Farmers Market. We invite you to paint Chinese lanterns or parasols and nibble on moon cakes to mark the day. The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture.. The history of the festival dates back over 3,000 years. It is a time of reunion for families, a little like Thanksgiving. During the festival, lanterns of all size and shapes – which symbolize beacons that light people’s path to prosperity and good fortune – are carried and displayed. Mooncakes, a rich pastry typically filled with sweet-bean, egg yolk, meat or lotus-seed paste, are traditionally eaten during this festival.

After five decades, 38 SPECIAL continues bringing their signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities annually. At every show, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band's performance. Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand as testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse. With sales over 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more. Timeless hits that are immediately recognizable from the first opening chord. Guitarist/vocalist and founding member, Don Barnes, says it's all about maintaining that intensity in their live shows. “We never wanted to be one of those bands that had maybe gotten a little soft, or complacent over the years. We're a team and it's always been kind of an unspoken rule that we don’t slack up, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.” Completing the team is bassist Barry Dunaway, drummer Gary Moffatt, and keyboardist/vocalist Bobby Capps. The most recent addition to the band is legendary virtuoso guitarist and vocalist Jerry Riggs.

Guided by our expert Farm Manager and mother nature's palette, create whimsical arrangements and unique décor using branches, gourds, herbs and textured elements. Incorporating natural textiles and foraged details, each piece reflects the artistry of fall and the timeless rhythms of the countryside for you to bring back into your own home. This is a two-hour, rain or shine, shared group experience. Due to updated guidance from the Department of Health and the FDA, we are unable to welcome any pets, including dogs at the farm.
