Learn about the “Sustainable Materials & Traditional Techniques” architects and contractors are reintroducing to the Wallace House as part of its 250th anniversary rehabilitation including linseed oil paint made from flax by Brouns and Co. Sunday, October 12, 2025, 12 p.m. the Somerville Environmental Commission hosts a Salem Oak Celebration for the third anniversary of the planting of Somerville’s seedling of New Jersey’s historic Salem Oak at Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites. Taking place in our intimate Studio space, The Sound Studio series brings you up close and personal with emerging classical performing artists. The October show features award-winning violinist Eric Tsai and pianist, Lohan Park. The program includes Ysaye's Solo Violin Sonata No. 5, Op. 27; Mozart's Violin Sonata in G Major, K. 379; Shih-Ching Ju's Three Taiwanese Songs; and Debussy's Violin Sonata in G minor, L. 140.
