A New Jersey native, Thistle picked up the guitar as a child and was performing live within months, honing his craft through open mics, local venues, and street performances. During the pandemic, he turned inward, writing and self-producing his debut album Down the Line, marking his evolution from young performer to fully realized artist. Since then, his path has been defined by steady growth – touring across the U.S. and Europe, collaborating with acclaimed musicians, and expanding his sound from classic, guitar-driven songwriting to something more cinematic and atmospheric. Influenced by artists like Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and John Hiatt, Thistle’s music blends timeless storytelling with a modern sensibility. His latest work, including the folk-driven single “Sleep on Me,” reflects a confident, collaborative artist who lets the song lead the way – anchored by authenticity and emotional connection.
