Art Throwdown – Teams Edition
Art Throwdown - Teams Edition The Center’s popular, afternoon, art-making fundraiser, the “Art Throwdown” returns. Fun for the whole family! This year it’s even bigger and better with “Art Throwdown – Teams Edition.” Eight, three-person, teams will be made up of The Center’s teaching artists, students/artists, individual artists, Board members, and community partners. What’s a throwdown? Each team will create a work of art on the spot. The catch? They must also incorporate three items from inside a “mystery box” and have only one hour to complete their artwork. Guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites and participate in a drawing for the chance to go home with one of the original artworks. Light refreshments will be served. Tickets to the fundraiser are $35 each for ages 16+, and free for children 15 and under. Advance tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the event for $40. All proceeds will support The Center and its programs! Purchase tickets online www.ccabedminster.org

Earth Day Bike Drive
Earth Day Bike Drive at Pop's Bike Shop This Earth Day, consider recycling your gently-used adult bicycles to our BikeConnect program. Since 2021, RideWise and Pops Bike Shop have been providing used, refurbished bicycles to adults in need of transportation to work. To date, we’ve provided 76 people with bikes. This program is possible only through bike donations we receive from the community. One bicycle may seem small, but it opens doors to a whole new life for our clients. Our bicycle recipients don’t just receive a bike; they also receive a new future. Your donation will hugely impact and completely change the life of a member of our community. We’ll be holding a two-day bike drive to accept your bike donations! Drop off your bikes at Pops Bike Shop on Main Street in Somerville on Saturday, April 20 between 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm or Monday, April 22 between 11 am – 2 pm.
