NJ Audubon: Lord Stirling Park Birdwalk
NJ, United StatesLed by Dave Oster, Associate Naturalist The Lord Stirling Park birdwalks have had up to 70 species and 13 warbler species in one day. This is a great spot for flycatchers, vireos, warblers, and goodies like Great-horned Owl, Red-headed Woodpecker, Alder Flycatcher, and Marsh Wren. Trails are level but may be wet depending on recent rain. Please bring your own binoculars or spotting scope if desired. There will be no equipment available to borrow. Registration required. Walk-ins will not be permitted to participate. Cost: $15 members, $20 nonmembers. Ticket sales end on 5/19 at 4:00 PM.
Nature Infused Yoga
NJ, United StatesLed by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Preregistration is required. There will be no class 4/8, 5/13, and 5/27. Ticket sales end at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. Fresh Air Pottery Class
NJ, United StatesWheels will be placed in the garden outside the studio. An experienced potter will give a wheel throwing demonstration at the top of each hour. Then, with continuous guidance, each participant will sit at their own wheel to create masterpieces in clay. Participants will get to choose the glaze colors for the pieces they make. Pieces will be available for pick up about 3 weeks later.
