On Sunday, September 21st, Bishop Janes United Methodist Church in downtown Basking Ridge is hosting our annual Harvest Welcome Sunday at 9:30 AM. ?It will be an amazing day of worship, food, and fun for the whole family. This special Sunday combines our regular worship service and church school for elementary students, followed by an incredible afternoon of fellowship. ???We're planning a picnic brunch, ice cream, and a bounce house for the kids providing plenty of opportunities for families and friends to connect. Harvest Welcome Sunday is one of our favorite community events because it perfectly captures our "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors" spirit. Whether you're a longtime member or completely new to Bishop Janes, everyone in the Basking Ridge community is welcome to join us.

Faiths 4 Climate Justice: Sun Day is coordinated by GreenFaith, a global, multi-faith climate justice organization. The campaign’s theme—“Shine a Light for Climate Justice”—calls on faith communities to illuminate the path toward a just, sustainable future. What a perfect way to celebrate Sanctuary + Seed’s first anniversary! Come learn about the work we do with regenerative gardening and renewable energy sources, and how to reach out to local representatives. ?? Food and music included. RSVP online.

Come celebrate the Jewish New Year in a way your kids will never forget! At this Rosh Hashanah celebration, kids in grades K–6 can: - Take the Shofar Sound Challenge — try to blast your own shofar or borrow one of ours and see if you can master the call. - Create your own Shofar. - Create Kindness Rocks with uplifting messages and colorful designs to spread positivity. - Enjoy the classic New Year’s treat of apples dipped in honey for a sweet start. This interactive, hands-on program is designed for youth and teens who love to play, create, and connect with friends while celebrating the season in a meaningful (and really fun) way. This program is FREE to participate but we ask that everyone pre-register so we know how many to expect.
