Cut Your Heart Out with Frontline Art Studio Save the date for the 5th Annual Cut Your Heart Out on Saturday February 10th from 1pm-3pm! Join Frontline Art Studio for the annual tradition of goofy, tongue-in-cheek card making that is fun for the whole family! Come to Frontline Arts and use the die cutting machine to cut out heart shapes, envelopes, boxes or whatever your heart desires. Then, print your cards with a variety of pre-set letterpress offerings. Come on down, hang out and support Frontline Arts! Proceeds go towards general funds to help keep the workshops and studios running smoothly.

Lunar New Year at The Commons

Lunar New Year at The Commons Bridgewater Commons in partnership with The Center for Cultural & Creative Exchange present Lunar New Year at The Commons, featuring traditional Asian performances and a dragon dance accompanied by the music of beating of drums, cymbals, and gong instruments synchronized to dragon dance movements believed to bring good luck and fortune. Celebrating the Year of the Dragon, the traditional Chinese giving of red envelopes filled with treats and special offers will delight lucky attendees. Families are also welcomed to partake in a Chinese arts and crafts workshop at the Event Space, located on the Main Level next to Vans. The Lunar New Year is the grandest ancient traditional festival in Asia signaling the beginning of spring and the arrival of the new year. Saturday, Feb 10 1pm – 6pm Kids Arts & Crafts @ Event Space (Main Level, next to Vans) 3pm – 4pm Dragon Dance Performance @ Center Court

Maple Sugaring

Maple Sugaring at The EEC Maple sugaring is a tradition in the Northeast that began centuries ago with the Native Americans and Colonists. People of all ages are invited to see this tradition brought to life at the Environmental Education Center (EEC). You will see how trees are tapped, view sap-collecting methods past and present, and see the boiling process that produces delicious New Jersey maple syrup. This 60-minute, outdoor program is conducted at our Sugar Shack, a ½-mile hike from the EEC. Please arrive at the EEC 30-40 minutes before the program start time to purchase tickets and hike to the Sugar Shack to meet your Naturalist.  Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Boots are recommended as the trails can be wet, muddy, and/or covered by snow. Tickets cost $6 per student/senior and $7 per adult.
