248th Commemoration of the BATTLE of BOUND BROOK
Abraham Staats House 17 von Steuben Lane, South Bound Brook, NJ, United StatesJoin us for an exciting and historic weekend April 12 – 13, 2025! The two-day living history program explores the American Revolutionary War during the timeframe of the Battle of Bound Brook and the foraging wars of 1777. Learn about and experience this important period in New Jersey’s and America’s history. Multiple activities across venues include 18th Century Soldier’s Encampment and Street Battles, camp life portrayed by living history reenactors as American and British troops, sutlers, and others of that period. Ceremony at Old Presbyterian Graveyard, Sunday Buffet Breakfast, Historic House tours/lectures and more! Whether you are looking for a family-fun experience, a history buff, a visitor to the area or searching for a new, interesting event to attend, each year’s living history weekend at the Battle of Bound Brook is unique, fun, and exciting. The historic Abraham Staats House, with the original structure c. 1740, was home to the Staats family for nearly 200 years and served as the headquarters for George Washington’s “Drillmaster” Baron von Steuben in 1779. Walk an Alpaca – Saturday Mornings
Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!! Our helpers are all volunteers, so tipping is appreciated.

Downtown Somerville Bunny Hop
? Hop into Downtown Somerville for a little Easter fun! ? Saturday, April 12 ? 1PM – 4PM ? Division Street The Easter Bunny is coming to Somerville! Stop by Division Street from 1 to 4pm to meet the Bunny and snap a photo. Make sure to check out the activities, sales and promotions in businesses and restaurants to help fill those Easter baskets! For a little added fun, hop around downtown and see if you can find the bunnies in the windows of participating businesses. Find them all for a free coloring book prize! Stay tuned for more details from participating businesses. No registration or purchase necessary; first come first serve for photos with the bunny (Note: there may be times the bunny will need a break, but photos with the springtime backdrop will still be available!)
