Rhythm on the Rails Summer Music Series
Rhythm on the Rails Summer Music Series Outdoor concert to be held monthly at Van Horn Plaza Bound Brook Train Station. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) policy to ensure comfort throughout the evening. The Bound Brook Revitalization Partnership recently announced the launch of the Rhythm on the Rails Music Series, a vibrant four-part music series taking place in Van Horne Plaza at the Bound Brook Train Station on July 12th, Aug. 2nd, Sept. 6th and Oct. 4th. The series will showcase a diverse array of musical genres ranging from Latin to Blues and Funk Rock. Kicking off the series on July 12th is Latin artist Janetza Miranda. Known for her soulful and captivating performances, Janetza blends Latin rhythms with contemporary flair, creating an engaging and unforgettable musical experience. The series will continue with: Red Hot Chili Jam on Aug. 2 A Red Hot Chili Peppers cover band. Sebba Band on Sept. 6 Seba – an Argentinian guitarist and singer performs a blend of American blues, and Argentinian Rock creating a new sophisticated sound. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Pre-registration Required. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Through painting, sculpture, photography and more, participants find strength, resilience, and hope. “The Art of Recovery” celebrates how creativity fosters personal growth, reduces stigma, and unites communities.

Somerset County Board of Agriculture presents our 2024 Agriculture in Action hosted by the Carnevale Family in Hillsborough, NJ. The Carnevale Farm is a preserved Horse Farm in Hillsborough, NJ. They produce their own hay and care for several horses. This Event is rain or shine. There is a cost of $5.00 per family. So join us to learn more about farming in Somerset County. Again, our hosts will be opening their farm on September 7, 2024 10 am to 2 pm. In addition to the Carnevale's opening their farm for the public to tour, they event will be supported by the Board of Ag, a local veterinarian, farriers, equine nutrient, the County Agricultural Development Board and more. There will be horses, and hay demonstrations. There will be food available for purchase. We are asking for $5.00 per family to help offset some expenses and the balance will go towards the Tom Everett Scholarship Fund. We are looking forward to hosting you at our event and teaching you about Somerset County NJ Agriculture.
Walk an Alpaca – Saturday Mornings
Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!! Our helpers are all volunteers, so tipping is appreciated.
