He received his M.F.A. from RISD and has exhibited his work and produced murals internationally. His work has been featured in various publications, including HiFructose and Washington Post. Del Valle has been the recipient of several visual arts residencies and fellowships including the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, the Fine Arts Work Center, Smack Mellon Artist Studio Program, and The Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship. During the winter cantonment of 1778-79, George and Martha Washington, General Nathaniel and Kitty Greene, General Henry and Lucy Knox, General Von Steuben and General Alexander (also known as Lord Stirling), lived here for months during the winter, a place called Middlebrook that General Washington chose for many reasons and brought his army here more than once during the war.
