Explorations in Drypoint with Cassaundra Flor Friday, June 14th, 1pm-5pm Members: $115, Non-Members: $130, Materials: $50 In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to different approaches and techniques in drypoint etching. This workshop will introduce you to the advantages of working on different surfaces for drypoint techniques and the ability to combine drypoint with the monotype process. Drypoint is a great step in the intaglio world– all skill levels are welcome! About the Instructor: Cassaundra Flor is an artist exploring ideas of space, intimacy, and relationships through painting and printmaking. Her work has been exhibited in the 88th and 89th “Philip’s Mill Juried Art Show” at Philip’s Mill Community Association, the “Young Visions'' group exhibition at the Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie, and “Art of the State 2019” at the State Museum of Pennsylvania. She is currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Registration deadline is Sunday, June 9th at Midnight. Conducted by Musical Director William Berz, the concert will feature a wide section of American marches, Broadway show tunes, and Hollywood movie music. RVSB members Frank Amato and John Hylkema will also be conducting. The concert begins with John Phillip Sousa’s The Naval Reserve March, composed by Sousa while in charge of the Great Lakes Navy Band program during World War I and dedicated to the officers and men of the Naval Reserve.
