U-Pick Strawberries

U-Pick Strawberries U-Pick season is upon us! Strawberry season will begin on May 25th Hours – Saturday/Sunday 9am to 4pm. Last car in at 3:00 Sign up for our newsletter for any mid-week pop up U-Pick days. Picking depends on weather and crop availability, so please check our phone message or social media for any updates before you visit. We currently do not take credit cards or cash apps, an ATM will be on premises. Field fee is $5.00 per person plus cost of berries. (This fee includes your wagon ride to and from the picking field.) Berries are $5.00 per lb. We do not pre-sell tickets – your field/wagon tickets can be purchased at the ticket tent on the front lawn of the big white house. Pre picked berries, seasonal produce, eggs, jar goods and our local honey will be available at our outdoor market. FYI – No entry fee if you just want to visit the outdoor market. Activity area and Jumbo Jumper will be open for the kiddos, entry is $7.00 per child. Join us every second Sunday! Beer+Yoga come together for a unique 60 minute yoga class to open up the senses in Flounder Brewing Company’s private loft! Yoga is known for increasing flexibility, calming the mind, and releasing stress; but yoga can also be used to ignite the 5 senses. Through yoga we’ll open up the five senses and discover how movement, breathe, and mindfulness can increase our flavor and scent receptors allowing us to smell and taste all of the notes of beer! Instructor Savannah Mignella will lead us flowing through this all-level friendly yoga class open to everyone 21+. 50th Anniversary of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County

50th Anniversary of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County The Somerset County 4-H Association is inviting 4-H members and volunteers past and present to attend a 50th anniversary celebration of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County on Sunday, June 9, noon to 4 p.m. The event will honor those who helped to make the 4-H Center at 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater a reality. A “Walk Down Memory Lane” program will be presented at 1 p.m. followed by a commemorative group photo of all attendees. At the time it opened in 1974, Somerset County’s 4-H Center was touted as the largest building of its kind in the nation. The Center houses meeting and activity areas for 4-H, along with offices for 4-H staff and the other county program areas of Rutgers Cooperative Extension. Groundbreaking took place in late 1972 and the building was completed in 1974. In 2004, the Center was renamed the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County to honor the longtime 4-H agent and National 4-H Hall of Fame inductee who was instrumental in the establishment of the current building and fairgrounds.
