Birding at Scherman-Hoffman
Birding at Scherman-Hoffman Scherman-Hoffman is a great birding spot in the early spring. We will hike around the sanctuary looking for Louisiana Waterthrush and other early season warblers. Participants will meet at Scherman-Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ. Pre-registration is required.

The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 The creative team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (during which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious “Stage Door Slasher”) assemble for a backer’s audition of their new show at the Westchester estate of a wealthy “angel.” Comic mayhem ensues when the infamous “Slasher” makes his reappearance and strikes again — and again. As the composer, lyricist, actors and director prepare their performance and a blizzard cuts off any possible retreat, bodies start to drop in plain sight and accusing fingers point in all directions. Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Pre-registration Required. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Nature Infused Yoga at Scherman Hoffman Led by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Preregistration is required. There will be no class 03/30, 05/11, or 05/25. Ticket sales end at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. The in-person class has a limit of 10 people. Be sure to purchase the correct ticket.
