Fired en Masse
The Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to present Fired En Masse, an exhibition of large-scale ceramic works by eight New Jersey artists. Curated by John Reinking, the exhibition will be on view September 25 through December 7, 2026. The public is invited to a free opening reception on Friday, September 25, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster. Fired En Masse features Jennifer Evans Arbo (Green Brook), Kaileen Campbell (Bridgewater), Keiko Inouye (Bridgewater), Sarah Poluszny (Sergeantsville), Mike Reed (Milford), John Reinking (Pittstown), Alicia Ulmes (Dunellen), and Kimberly Hardiman Winnicky (Hampton).
Welcome World to George Washington’s Rockingham
Rockingham State Historic Site 84 Laurel Avenue, Franklin TownshipNew Jersey welcomes the world to Rockingham State Historic Site for the 250th Birthday of the United States. Visit the historic New Jersey Dutch Barn for an illustrated introduction to George Washington’s final headquarters of the Revolutionary War. Handle reproduction artifacts of the Revolutionary War. Sign up for tours of the grounds. Rockingham was George Washington's final wartime headquarters. Arriving from New York, Washington stayed at Rockingham from August 23, 1783 and left November 10, 1783. While at Rockingham, Washington entertained guests, issued his Farewell Orders to the Army, and learned the United States became formally independent with the signing of the Treaty of Paris. The historic house remains closed due to construction for stabilization of the south elevation. ? Revolution NJ is New Jersey’s official observance of the 250th anniversaries of New Jersey’s first Constitution July 2, 2026 and the American Revolution in New Jersey from 2024 – 2033.
Snyder’s Farm Fall Festival

Enjoy time in our field picking that perfect pumpkin to carve. Our Fall Festival attracts guests who travel far and wide from all over New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania for a day of fun at the farm. ? ?Admission to Fall Festival is required to enter the Pumpkin field plus the cost of Pumpkins. Do not pick pumpkins up by their stems. Do not throw, drop, or kick pumpkins. ?Tip: Best to enjoy activity’s first & pick your pumpkin towards the end of your visit.
Journey Through the Past
Visit Somerset County for our 21st annual Journey Through the Past! Collect stamps in your Journey through the Past passport while you visit historic sites throughout the County - all open and free to the public on Saturday, October 10th, from 10am-5pm and Sunday, October 11th, from 12-4pm. Explore the vast history of Somerset County through a variety of different experiences! Join a tour of a historic house, participate in family-friendly activities, listen to live music, see blacksmithing demonstrations, and so much more! Where will you visit on your Journey? Halloween Hayrides
Lord Stirling Park 256 S Maple Ave, Basking RidgeThis spooky season, the Stable is offering two types of hayrides to provide an all-inclusive experience. Join us on our family-friendly hayride where a tour guide will tell spooky ghost stories along the way—looking for something a little more frightening? Join us for our truly haunting “jump scare” tour. This hayride is recommended for people 10 years and older. Dates: October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11 * No hayrides on the 5th, but all other activities will be available. Fee: $15 per person. Activity Requirements: Advance registration is required. All participants must sign an annual waiver. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled ride. Registration: Pre-registration is required. Online registration closes 72 hours in advance, and the website will show the session as “unavailable.” If you are within the 72 hours and wish to register, please call 908-722-1200 ext. 5528, Monday- Friday, 8 am-3 pm, and our office staff will do their best to assist you in registering for any openings.
