Atlantic Visiting Nurse Rummage Sale
Far Hills FairgroundsThe Rummage Sale will welcome shoppers October 2–4 to one of New Jersey's most anticipated community events. Rummage features treasures across 26 unique departments. From Boutique and Jewelry to Furniture, Sports, Books, Housewares, Vintage, Toys and Collectibles, shoppers can browse an incredible selection of gently used items at bargain prices. Whether searching for a one-of-a-kind find, furnishing a new home, or simply enjoying the thrill of discovering hidden treasures, there is something for everyone. Admission is free. Proceeds from the sale directly support Atlantic Visiting Nurse's home health and hospice programs, helping provide compassionate care to patients and families throughout the communities served by Atlantic Health. Welcome World to George Washington’s Rockingham
Rockingham State Historic Site 84 Laurel Avenue, Franklin TownshipNew Jersey welcomes the world to Rockingham State Historic Site for the 250th Birthday of the United States. Visit the historic New Jersey Dutch Barn for an illustrated introduction to George Washington’s final headquarters of the Revolutionary War. Handle reproduction artifacts of the Revolutionary War. Sign up for tours of the grounds. Rockingham was George Washington's final wartime headquarters. Arriving from New York, Washington stayed at Rockingham from August 23, 1783 and left November 10, 1783. While at Rockingham, Washington entertained guests, issued his Farewell Orders to the Army, and learned the United States became formally independent with the signing of the Treaty of Paris. The historic house remains closed due to construction for stabilization of the south elevation. ? Revolution NJ is New Jersey’s official observance of the 250th anniversaries of New Jersey’s first Constitution July 2, 2026 and the American Revolution in New Jersey from 2024 – 2033.

Enjoy time in our field picking that perfect pumpkin to carve. Our Fall Festival attracts guests who travel far and wide from all over New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania for a day of fun at the farm. ? ?Admission to Fall Festival is required to enter the Pumpkin field plus the cost of Pumpkins. Do not pick pumpkins up by their stems. Do not throw, drop, or kick pumpkins. ?Tip: Best to enjoy activity’s first & pick your pumpkin towards the end of your visit.

Halloween Hayrides
Lord Stirling Park 256 S Maple Ave, Basking RidgeThis spooky season, the Stable is offering two types of hayrides to provide an all-inclusive experience. Join us on our family-friendly hayride where a tour guide will tell spooky ghost stories along the way—looking for something a little more frightening? Join us for our truly haunting “jump scare” tour. This hayride is recommended for people 10 years and older. Dates: October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11 * No hayrides on the 5th, but all other activities will be available. Fee: $15 per person. Activity Requirements: Advance registration is required. All participants must sign an annual waiver. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled ride. Registration: Pre-registration is required. Online registration closes 72 hours in advance, and the website will show the session as “unavailable.” If you are within the 72 hours and wish to register, please call 908-722-1200 ext. 5528, Monday- Friday, 8 am-3 pm, and our office staff will do their best to assist you in registering for any openings.
Fired en Masse
The Center for Contemporary Art 2020 Burnt Mills Road, BedminsterThe Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to present Fired En Masse, an exhibition of large-scale ceramic works by eight New Jersey artists. Curated by John Reinking, the exhibition will be on view September 25 through December 7, 2026. The public is invited to a free opening reception on Friday, September 25, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster. Fired En Masse features Jennifer Evans Arbo (Green Brook), Kaileen Campbell (Bridgewater), Keiko Inouye (Bridgewater), Sarah Poluszny (Sergeantsville), Mike Reed (Milford), John Reinking (Pittstown), Alicia Ulmes (Dunellen), and Kimberly Hardiman Winnicky (Hampton).
Samara Joy and Her Septet
Samara Joy has emerged as one of the most captivating new voices in jazz, bringing a fresh perspective to a beloved tradition. With a sound that feels both rooted in history and uniquely her own, she has quickly drawn the attention of audiences and critics alike. Experience the artistry, warmth, and unmistakable brilliance of a true rising icon—live and in person. A native of the Bronx, Joy became entranced by classic R&B as a child and cut her teeth as a singer in her church’s gospel choir. And while her family history is deeply musical—her grandparents helmed the Philadelphia gospel group the Savettes, and her father, the musician and songwriter Antonio McLendon, has produced, composed, and arranged his own astounding original work—she didn’t delve into the jazz tradition until college at SUNY Purchase. During her studies there she won the 2019 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, which introduced her to the larger jazz scene as a rising star to watch. She was heard, by audiences and critics alike, as a masterful interpreter of jazz standards and a rightful heiress of the sound, technique and charisma that defined her jazz heroines—including Vaughan, Betty Carter, Abbey Lincoln, and Carmen McRae.
