NJ Audubon: Morning Walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary Enjoy a quiet morning at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Pre-registration Required. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. NJ Audubon: Lord Stirling Park Birdwalk Join Dave Oster for a birdwalk at Lord Stirling Park, a great spot for flycatchers, vireos, and warblers. The Lord Stirling Park birdwalks have had up to 70 species and 13 warbler species in one day. This is a great spot for flycatchers, vireos, warblers, and goodies like Great-horned Owl, Red-headed Woodpecker, Alder Flycatcher, Marsh Wren, and in some years Prothonotary Warbler. We will also spend some time at the East Observation Deck, which overlooks the adjacent Great Swamp marshes. Trails are level but may be wet depending on recent rain. Please bring your own binoculars or spotting scope if desired. There will be no equipment available to borrow. Registration required. Walk-ins will not be permitted to participate. U-Pick Strawberries Opening Weekend Get all the details before you visit! Hours - Saturday/Sunday 9am to 4pm last car in at 3pm Picking depends on weather and crop availability, so please check our phone message or social media for any updates before you visit.We currently do not take credit cards or cash apps, an ATM will be on premises. Field fee is $5.00 per person plus cost of berries. (this fee includes your wagon ride to and from the picking field)Berries are $5 per lb. We do not pre-sell tickets - your field/wagon tickets can be purchased at the ticket tent on the front lawn of the big white house. No outside food or drink, Snyder's grill will be open with food, drinks, homemade ice cream, lemonade and more. Pre picked berries, seasonal produce, eggs, jar goods and our local honey will be available at our outdoor market. Activity area and Jumbo Jumper will be open for the kiddos, you can purchase tickets at the tent where you purchased your field tickets for $7 per child. Do I need to bring anything for picking?
