Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Pre-registration Required. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. This exhibition highlights artistic expression as a vital healing tool, helping individuals process emotions, share their journeys, and reconnect with themselves and their communities. Through painting, sculpture, photography and more, participants find strength, resilience, and hope. “The Art of Recovery” celebrates how creativity fosters personal growth, reduces stigma, and unites communities.

Glow-in-the-dark Fish Lantern Workshop Come join for a fun workshop where we'll be making glow-in-the-dark fish puppets that light up the night! Glow-in-the-dark Fish Puppets Workshop Come join for a fun and creative workshop where you will make your very own upcycled glow-in-the-dark fish puppet! This hands-on event will take place at Raritan Headwaters' headquarters, Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve in Bedminster, NJ. Let your imagination run wild as you design and create your unique fish puppet out of repurposed materials; we hope that participants will donate their fish to be displayed at our popular Lantern Walk festival on November 3, and then collect the puppets afterwards to take home! Folks that donate their fish for viewing at Lantern Walk will recieve a discounted ticket to the event! This is part of a series of three workshops; you can attend one, or attend them all! This workshop was inspired by a series of workshops that our Director of Education Lauren Theis attended at ArtYard in Frenchtown! Hayride, Corn Maze, and Pumpkin Picking Event Experience the best of fall at our farm with our Hayride, Corn Maze, and Petting Zoo event! Starting in late September and running through October, this event offers an outdoor adventure for the whole family. Your $18 admission includes a scenic round-trip hayride through the farm, a journey through our fun-filled corn maze, entry to our pumpkin patch, and petting zoo admission (where you can meet and pet our friendly farm animals). While pumpkins and gourds are not included in the ticket, they are available for purchase in the field! (cash only, by size). Children under 24 months old enjoy free admission. Walk an Alpaca – Saturday Mornings
Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!! Our helpers are all volunteers, so tipping is appreciated.
Snyder’s Fall Festival
Snyder's Fall Festival Come to Snyder’s Farm and enjoy a well-organized day of family fun! From pumpkin picking and loads of fun activities to all your favorite fall comfort foods, like apple cider, cider donuts & yummy food trucks, we have something that is sure to please everyone. The Fall festival is held weekends only, hours are 11am to 6pm last entry and wagon ride to the event field is 4:30 We will not be open on Columbus Day 2024 Dates: October 5/6, 12/13, 19/20, 26/27 Discounts offered for Seniors and Military (must show Military ID) FYI: Our tractor pulled wagon is how you get to our fall festal event field, if you do not wish to take the wagon ride and want to walk, upon admission you must ask our team member to give you a driveway pass, those without passes will not be able to gain access to the driveway. Currently do not take credit cards; an ATM will be on premise should you need it.
