Fabio Mittino & Bert Lams – Concert
NJ, United StatesJoin us for an afternoon with Fabio & Bert as they perform the music of Thomas de Hartmann inside the Farmhouse and online via Zoom! Since its inception, the Mittino/Lams duo has passionately explored the music of G.I.Gurdjieff and Ukrainian born Thomas de Hartmann. They have released three albums: 'Long Ago' (2016) , 'Movimenti’ (2019) and 'Music of the Stars' (2020) and have played hundreds of concerts in the US and Europe. The tale of de Hartmann (1885–1956) is a fascinating one. Born into Ukrainian aristocracy, he was a student of both Arensky and Taneyev, achieving fame as a composer in Russia in the early 1900s. His concert music was later played by some of the major musicians of the day, primarily in Paris. But since his death, he has been remembered mainly for his association with the Caucasian mystic G.I.Gurdjieff, whom he met in 1916, and his output for the concert hall has fallen into obscurity. Bert Lams and Fabio Mittino are bringing his music to the intimacy of the living room, creating a moving experience for the lucky few! Concert starts at 3pm followed by a reception with light refreshments. Can't make it in person? Join us online! We'll
