Angela Pilgrim & Barbara Wallace Solo Exhibitions at The Center for Contemporary Art The Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to present two fall solo exhibitions on view September 27 through December 8. Angela Pilgrim: New Growth presents the work of Angela Pilgrim whose studio is in Newark, New Jersey. She explains, “My work explores the Black female gaze through figurative imagery of the body. Utilizing portraiture, printmaking, pattern making and mixed media.” Barbara Wallace: Sculpture showcases the work of sculptor Barbara Wallace, who resides in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Wallace is a sculptor known for her figurative art works and innovative use of recycled materials. When discussing her work, she explains, “Shape, form and structure are essential aspects of my sculptures created with a paper mache technique in recycled paper, cardboard, wire, metal and acrylic paint…. Using up-cycled resources addresses my concerns about climate change and the environment.”

This exhibition highlights artistic expression as a vital healing tool, helping individuals process emotions, share their journeys, and reconnect with themselves and their communities. Through painting, sculpture, photography and more, participants find strength, resilience, and hope. “The Art of Recovery” celebrates how creativity fosters personal growth, reduces stigma, and unites communities.

Stalls, Sweets, & Treats Stop by the Lord Stirling Stables on October 27th and participate in our “Barn Trick-or-Treat Event”. Included is a self guided, trick-or-treat style barn tour, horses in costume, decorated stalls, horse costume contests, games and more. Stop by to vote for your favorite costume! Voting ends at 1pm. Awards will be announced at 1:30pm. Date/Time: October 27th, 11-2pm Fee: Free public event! Activity Requirements: All participants must sign an annual waiver. Snyder's Fall Festival Come to Snyder’s Farm and enjoy a well-organized day of family fun! From pumpkin picking and loads of fun activities to all your favorite fall comfort foods, like apple cider, cider donuts & yummy food trucks, we have something that is sure to please everyone. The Fall festival is held weekends only, hours are 11am to 6pm last entry and wagon ride to the event field is 4:30 We will not be open on Columbus Day 2024 Dates: October 5/6, 12/13, 19/20, 26/27 Discounts offered for Seniors and Military (must show Military ID) FYI: Our tractor pulled wagon is how you get to our fall festal event field, if you do not wish to take the wagon ride and want to walk, upon admission you must ask our team member to give you a driveway pass, those without passes will not be able to gain access to the driveway. Currently do not take credit cards; an ATM will be on premise should you need it.
