Festival of Trees 46th Anniversary December is the time to visit the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center (EEC) to welcome winter and get into the holiday spirit! The festival is an indoor exhibit of decorated trees by various community groups and individuals alike. Enjoy holiday music and relax while viewing the beautiful trees! Please call 908-722-1200 (ext. 5328) or email mjuhasz@scparks.org to participate as an exhibitor and decorate a tree, to make group reservations or for more information. Suggested donation: $5 per person. Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 29, 2024, 9:00am-4:30pm **Please note the EEC will be closed December 24 & 25** See you in December at the EEC – the perfect lead into the holiday season! Donate new, unwrapped Toys while you visit for Toys For Tots!

This exhibition highlights artistic expression as a vital healing tool, helping individuals process emotions, share their journeys, and reconnect with themselves and their communities. Through painting, sculpture, photography and more, participants find strength, resilience, and hope. “The Art of Recovery” celebrates how creativity fosters personal growth, reduces stigma, and unites communities.

Pop Up Holiday Art Sale Give the gift of art this holiday season! The Center for Contemporary Art (“The Center”) in Bedminster will be holding a Pop Up Holiday Art Sale on Friday, December 13 from 10 am – 2 pm, Saturday, December 14 from 10 am – 4 pm, and Sunday, December 15 from 10am – 2pm. This holiday sale will feature work by more than 35 artists made up of The Center’s teaching artists and members including, Adnan Ali, Jennifer Evans Arbo, Barbara Arner, Vicky Batiste, Cecilia Blas, Serena Bocchino, Andrea Carroll, Minakshi Chaudhary, Robin Cunningham, Danielle D'Amico, Peggy Davo, Tracy DiTolla, Steven Epstein, Meeta Garg, Sharmila Ghosh, Aarti Gupta, Heather Hudson, Victoria Jeffers, Hilary Klimek, Linda Laustsen, William Metz, Rosemary O'Rourke, Bridget Peek, Bermuda Pierre, DeAnn Prosia, Anita Rachel, Shy Raguso, Elena Secula, Lori Semak, Aparajita Sen, Katherine Weiss, Martine White, Elaine Wladyga, and Betty Zheng 2D and 3D works of art will be available for purchase in a variety of mediums including acrylic, oil, watercolor, etchings, fiber art, drawing, ceramics, and more. Santa at the Commons Santa will begin welcoming children of all ages for visits and photos filled with holiday magic. Located in Center Court on the shopping center’s Lower Level, visits to Santa Celebration will begin Saturday, Nov. 16 through Tuesday, Dec. 24 ‘Tis the season for Santa, shopping, and holiday events. Photos with Santa November 16 – December 24 Santa Cares Day Sunday Dec 1st 10am – 12pm Bridgewater Commons welcomes families to a sensory-friendly Santa experience. Make holiday memories in a soothing environment. PET Photos with Santa Tuesday December 3 & Thursday December 5 3pm-7pm Bring your furry, four-legged family members to meet Santa! Cats and dogs are welcome with their pet parents on a leash or in a carrier. A percentage of sales benefit the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter.
