U-Pick Strawberries

U-Pick Strawberries U-Pick season is upon us! Strawberry season will begin on May 25th Hours – Saturday/Sunday 9am to 4pm. Last car in at 3:00 Sign up for our newsletter for any mid-week pop up U-Pick days. Picking depends on weather and crop availability, so please check our phone message or social media for any updates before you visit. We currently do not take credit cards or cash apps, an ATM will be on premises. Field fee is $5.00 per person plus cost of berries. (This fee includes your wagon ride to and from the picking field.) Berries are $5.00 per lb. We do not pre-sell tickets – your field/wagon tickets can be purchased at the ticket tent on the front lawn of the big white house. Pre picked berries, seasonal produce, eggs, jar goods and our local honey will be available at our outdoor market. FYI – No entry fee if you just want to visit the outdoor market. Activity area and Jumbo Jumper will be open for the kiddos, entry is $7.00 per child. Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!! How about freeing yourself for a couple of hours over lunch? While Letterpress printing can take a lifetime to master, this free midday workshop will help you produce great results quickly and easily! Whether you’re new to letterpress or know your way around a Vandercook, you’ll enjoy printing with Frontline’s collection of wood and lead type, getting you prepared to jump into a longer class headfirst! No experience necessary. About the Instructor: Dave DiMarchi is a queer, multi-disciplinary artist working in printmaking, papermaking and sculptural book forms. Nurturing ideas into singular and editioned works, he engages in a relentless research and material practice. As a multi-disciplinary artist, he has exhibited works on paper, installations and books in the US and internationally. In addition to teaching printmaking, papermaking and book forms throughout the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania area, he maintains a small collaborative studio and art space in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Through his Autumn 2022 Arts Council of Princeton’s Anne Reeves Artist Residency, he developed

Field of Honor Celebration

Field of Honor Celebration The Friends of the Jacobus Vanderveer House will host Bedminster’s Field of Honor® at River Road Park. The tribute will celebrate our nation’s independence, and honor all those who have served our country with pride and dignity, with a display of over 200 American flags in the north field of River Road Park along Route 202/206 in Bedminster. Field of Honor at Jacobus Vanderveer

Field of Honor at Jacobus Vanderveer The community is invited to stroll through the field of flags and tour the Jacobus Vanderveer House, including a model of the Pluckemin Cantonment, America’s 1st military academy. At 11:30 am Bedminster Mayor Larry Jacobs and the Bedminster Environmental Commission will plant a seedling from the Historic Salem Oak Tree - one of New Jersey's most treasured trees for its size, longevity, and history. At 12:00 pm join us for a live performance by the White House Wind Symphony! Bring your chairs, blankets and have a picnic. Admission is free, with a $10 suggested donation to tour the house. Dedicate a flag and honor your loved ones for $25! Dedications will be featured on the JVH website, social media, and a post-event email. Families of active-duty military personnel (including National Guard and Reserve) can sponsor a flag at no charge (compliments of The Friends of the Jacobus Vanderveer House).
