2024 Summer Concert Series Join for the Summer Concert Series at Duke Island Park, where music lovers of all ages come together to celebrate a variety of genres and eras. From classic rock to jazz, country to pop, each concert promises a memorable summer experience . Admission and parking are free. Park Rangers will help guide parking, offering closer spots to those with handicaps. A selection of food trucks will be onsite and may vary from week to week. Visitors are welcome to bring your own cooler with snacks and drinks.  Alcohol and smoking are not permitted in the park. Don't forget to bring your own lawn chair or blanket to relax and immerse yourself in the music-filled atmosphere. Pine Barrens Paddle

Pine Barrens Paddle (All Ages, 10 years and older with parent) Pine Barrens streams offer some of the best paddling in the state!  Enjoy pristine, tea-colored streams through old cranberry bogs, rich wetland meadows, and pitch pine forest.  The river destination will be determined by water level.  Participants will meet at the Environmental Education Center, 190 Lord Stirling Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.  Pre-registration is required.

KAN-U-KAYAK

KAN-U-KAYAK (All Ages, 10 years and older with parent) This introductory kayak class will teach you the basic paddling techniques, safety aspects of kayaking, and handling a kayak in and out of the water.  During this session, you will learn how to successfully wet exit your kayak, practice getting in and out of the kayak, and control your kayak with proper paddling technique.  Please wear a bathing suit, bring a towel, and be prepared to get completely wet.  Participants will use solo kayaks.  All required equipment will be provided.  Participants will meet at Warrenbrook Pool in Warren, NJ for the pool class and at the EEC, 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge, NJ for the pond class.   Pre-registration is required.  Tuesday, August 6   9:00am-11:00am (pool) 12:30pm-2:30pm (pond)

Norz Hill Farm Farmers Market In addition to its regular farm market hours, Norz Hill Farm is adding a weekly farmers market to its schedule of community-friendly events this summer. Taking place on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at 120 South Branch Road in Hillsborough, the market will feature wholesome foods and items from area vendors. “The purpose of the market is to offer fresh food and products to Somerset County and neighboring regions,” said Megan Norz, the farm market manager. The market will take place rain or shine, except in the event of severe weather.
