Frontline Arts – 51st Annual Members Show
Frontline Arts 440 River Road, Branchburg, NJ, United StatesReception: Sat., Jan. 25th, 1-3 PM Theme: The theme for this year's show is "PAS DE THÈME," which means there's no specific theme to follow. The exhibition aims to celebrate our member artists' avant-garde and rebellious spirit, allowing for a diverse showcase of innovative and boundary-pushing artwork. Join us for the festive opening and spread the word to art aficionados! Dates: The exhibition will be on view through March 8th. Juror: This year Frontline Arts member Dave DiMarchi will be our Annual Members' Show juror. Dave is a multi-disciplinary artist specializing in printmaking, papermaking, and sculptural book forms. He has exhibited his work in the US and internationally and teaches in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Cut to the Chase: Deep Dive into Reduction Linocut
Cut to the Chase: Deep Dive into Reduction Linocut Mondays, March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th. 6:00 - 8:30 PM Discover the image-making, layering, and color possibilities of reduction linocut printmaking, while learning the tips and tricks of this challenging medium. Working with simple tools and techniques, as well as exploring the possibilities of color, artists will create an edition of three (or more)-color prints over four sessions. Some experience is suggested; beginners are welcome. Students provide: One Speedball (or similar) Linoleum Cutting Handle + Gouges (1, 2, 3, 5 & 6) Resource images: The imagery you provide can be as simple as clip art-style, to something more complex like a photograph, writing, a constructed image/collage, or you can work abstractly. Whatever direction you choose, you’ll be working with this same image throughout our time together. You should provide the imagery printed out onto standard copy/printer paper in either color or grayscale/black and white, at 5x7”. Of course, you are also welcome to work directly on the block after seeing the demonstration and sample images. You may find yourself inspired to work more off the cuff once at the workshop. The Center for Contemporary Art 2020 Burnt Mills Road, Bedminster, NJ, United StatesJuror, Erin Woodbrey, selected the work of twenty-eight artists, showcasing works of art across many mediums for the 2025 International Juried Exhibition. "The selected works reflect a desire to imagine our relationships to the spaces we inhabit anew—to create and embody new possibilities. In the work, I see a shared impulse to reimagine our material lives and explore new models for caregiving, resilience, and celebration. Norz Hill Farm Farmers Market In addition to its regular farm market hours, Norz Hill Farm is adding a weekly farmers market to its schedule of community-friendly events this summer. Taking place on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at 120 South Branch Road in Hillsborough, the market will feature wholesome foods and items from area vendors. “The purpose of the market is to offer fresh food and products to Somerset County and neighboring regions,” said Megan Norz, the farm market manager. The market will take place rain or shine, except in the event of severe weather. Comic Book Art: Crafting Stories
Frontline Arts 440 River Road, Branchburg, NJ, United StatesComic Book Art: Crafting Stories Tuesdays, 5:30 - 8:00 PM Four classes: March 4th, 11th, 18th, and April 1st. Ages: Adults This class will explore the principles of narrative storytelling and visually interpreting them in comic book form. Students will leave with three to four complete short form stories by the end of the class and a greater awareness of how stories are structured and what makes them work. Students provide: - Notebook/sketchbook - Pencils - Micron Pens - Colored Markers (optional) - The Writer’s Journey by Christopher Vogler (suggested but optional) About the Instructor: Gene Kim is a Korean-American storyboard artist who has worked on shows for Netflix, Amazon Studios, Angel Studios, HBO Max and more. He was previously a CG artist at Disney’s Blue Sky Studios (Ice Age, Rio) and a CG intern at Pixar Animation Studios before then. His own award-winning original animated and live action work has played internationally on the film festival circuit.
