Join us to celebrate the intersection of art and nature in this special exhibition! Featuring paintings, photography, sculpture and mixed media art of the 4-State Highlands Region of NJ, NY, PA & CT.
Monoprint Mondays
Mondays, 1 PM - 3 PM Six weeks: February 10th, 24th, March 10th, 24th, April 7th, 21st Enjoy experimenting with textures, colors, and design by exercising your drawing and painting skills to make mono-prints with different techniques. We will create layers by adding and subtracting ink, tracing, image transfer, stencils, collagraph, linocut, and open work time. Learn various registration methods to align your layers perfectly, and strategize your printing process to get the most out of every session. Follow the provided example or develop your ideas with the technique explored that day to make meaningful art. Open work time for your projects to emerge will allow for one-on-one assistance in a group setting. Stay creative with your fellow printmakers, and have fun in a community-minded, socially-conscious environment. Students provide: Sketchbook for ideas Favorite mark-making supplies Photographs or magazines Exacto blades & self-healing mat About the Instructor: Ingrid Marie Harbour is an interdisciplinary artist who enjoys experimenting with different mediums, including drawing, painting, and printmaking. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Ingrid moved East after studying art at the UW, including drawing with notable professors Zhi Lin and Emily Gherard. Frontline Arts – 51st Annual Members Show

The exhibition aims to celebrate our member artists' avant-garde and rebellious spirit, allowing for a diverse showcase of innovative and boundary-pushing artwork. Join us for the festive opening and spread the word to art aficionados! Dates: The exhibition will be on view through March 8th. Juror: This year Frontline Arts member Dave DiMarchi will be our Annual Members' Show juror. Dave is a multi-disciplinary artist specializing in printmaking, papermaking, and sculptural book forms. He has exhibited his work in the US and internationally and teaches in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Ridge, NJ – The Farmstead Arts is delighted to announce that it will host the New Jersey Highlands Coalition art exhibit. The exhibition will run from January 12 to February 23, 2025, at the Farmstead Arts Center, located at 450 King George Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. The exhibit will feature a diverse collection of fine art, photography, sculpture, and mixed media pieces inspired by the natural beauty of the Highlands region, encompassing areas of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. This annual event aims to highlight the intersection of art and environmental conservation, promoting the mission of the New Jersey Highlands Coalition to protect and enhance the vital resources of the Highlands. Visitors can explore the gallery for free during regular hours: Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Comic Book Art: Crafting Stories

Members: $230, Non-Members: $245 Material Fee: $20 Ages: Adults This class will explore the principles of narrative storytelling and visually interpreting them in comic book form. Students will leave with three to four complete short form stories by the end of the class and a greater awareness of how stories are structured and what makes them work.
