Rhythm on the Rails Summer Music Series
Rhythm on the Rails Summer Music Series Outdoor concert to be held monthly at Van Horn Plaza Bound Brook Train Station. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) policy to ensure comfort throughout the evening. The Bound Brook Revitalization Partnership recently announced the launch of the Rhythm on the Rails Music Series, a vibrant four-part music series taking place in Van Horne Plaza at the Bound Brook Train Station on July 12th, Aug. 2nd, Sept. 6th and Oct. 4th. The series will showcase a diverse array of musical genres ranging from Latin to Blues and Funk Rock. Kicking off the series on July 12th is Latin artist Janetza Miranda. Known for her soulful and captivating performances, Janetza blends Latin rhythms with contemporary flair, creating an engaging and unforgettable musical experience. The series will continue with: Red Hot Chili Jam on Aug. 2 A Red Hot Chili Peppers cover band. Sebba Band on Sept. 6 Seba – an Argentinian guitarist and singer performs a blend of American blues, and Argentinian Rock creating a new sophisticated sound. Angela Pilgrim & Barbara Wallace Solo Exhibitions at The Center for Contemporary Art The Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to present two fall solo exhibitions on view September 27 through December 8. Angela Pilgrim: New Growth presents the work of Angela Pilgrim whose studio is in Newark, New Jersey. She explains, “My work explores the Black female gaze through figurative imagery of the body. Utilizing portraiture, printmaking, pattern making and mixed media.” Barbara Wallace: Sculpture showcases the work of sculptor Barbara Wallace, who resides in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Wallace is a sculptor known for her figurative art works and innovative use of recycled materials. When discussing her work, she explains, “Shape, form and structure are essential aspects of my sculptures created with a paper mache technique in recycled paper, cardboard, wire, metal and acrylic paint…. Using up-cycled resources addresses my concerns about climate change and the environment.”

These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover.
