Friday Night Picnics at Peony's Envy When: On May 12, 19, 26, June 2, 9, 2023 we reopen our Display Gardens for Friday Night Picnics from 5:30-7:30pm, do not arrive or setup early. Please note that there are no picnics at the Display Gardens outside of this time and there are no picnics allowed at the Cut Flower Fields ever. What to Bring: Bring your own picnic and enjoy the bloom! We recommend you bring a picnic blanket and whatever else you need to make yourself comfortable on the lawns. What is in Bloom: You are welcome to walk the gardens and enjoy the bloom. See our Bloom Timeline section for details on what is in bloom. The volume of flowers changes drastically through the season. How Much: Adults $20, children $10. There’s no need to buy a ticket online or make a reservation at this time. "Blithe Spirit" at Farmstead Arts Center The Lord Stirling Theater Company will perform the comedy classic “Blithe Spirit” by Noël Coward in the English Barn Theater at the Farmstead Arts Center, 450 King George Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. “Blithe Spirit” will open on Friday, June 2, at 7:30PM, with additional performances on June 3 at 7:30PM, June 4 at 4:00PM, June 9 and 10 at 7:30PM, and June 11 at 4:00PM. Tickets are $25 general admission, $23 for seniors (65 and over) and students, $20 for Farmstead Arts members, and $15 for children under 12. To gather material, he and his wife Ruth invite local medium Madame Arcati to dinner, along with their friends the Bradmans. Morning Walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. One person per ticket. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please bring binoculars if you have them.
U-Pick Strawberry Weekends Picking depends on weather and crop availability, so please check our phone message for any updates before you visit. We currently do not take credit cards, an ATM will be on premises. Field fee is $5.00 per person plus cost of berries. Field fee for children under 2, free. No outside food or drink, No smoking on the premises, No pets allowed. A wagon ride is required to get back to the strawberry field -Please check in at the little farm shed to the right of the parking area for wagon instructions. Pre picked strawberries will be available at our outdoor market. Activity area and Jumbo Jumper will be open for the kiddos, you can purchase tickets at the little farm shed where you received your wagon ride tickets. Hours are Weekends 9AM to 4PM last car in at 3:00 For your safety Please always watch your footing on the property, there are rocks, sticks, holes, and uneven ground.
