Field of Honor Celebration
NJ, United StatesField of Honor Celebration The Friends of the Jacobus Vanderveer House will host Bedminster’s Field of Honor® at River Road Park. The tribute will celebrate our nation’s independence and honor all those who have served our country with pride and dignity, with a display of over 200 American flags in the north field of River Road Park along Route 202/206 in Bedminster. Join us on Saturday, June 3rd from 11am-2pm for our annual Field of Honor® Celebration! Outdoor admission is free and features a live performance by the Whitehouse Wind Symphony from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Bring your chairs, blankets and have a picnic! Tours of the house are $10 per person, with children under 12 free.

“Blithe Spirit” at Farmstead Arts Center
NJ, United States"Blithe Spirit" at Farmstead Arts Center The Lord Stirling Theater Company will perform the comedy classic “Blithe Spirit” by Noël Coward in the English Barn Theater at the Farmstead Arts Center, 450 King George Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. “Blithe Spirit” will open on Friday, June 2, at 7:30PM, with additional performances on June 3 at 7:30PM, June 4 at 4:00PM, June 9 and 10 at 7:30PM, and June 11 at 4:00PM. Tickets are $25 general admission, $23 for seniors (65 and over) and students, $20 for Farmstead Arts members, and $15 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased online at https://farmsteadartscenter.org or at the door (cash only). Writer Charles Condomine is conducting research for his latest novel about a medium. To gather material, he and his wife Ruth invite local medium Madame Arcati to dinner, along with their friends the Bradmans. Charles is hoping to find a fraud, but perhaps Madame Arcati conjures up more than he expected.? “Blithe Spirit” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. We’ll search for nesting grassland birds including Grasshopper Sparrow at this hidden gem. This restored grassland hosts a good variety of breeding species including American Kestrel, Black-billed Cuckoo, Grasshopper Sparrow, Orchard Oriole, and Blue Grosbeak. Be prepared for three hours of walking over flat terrain. We’ll also spend a little time looking at butterflies and dragonflies. There are no restrooms on site.
