This year, join us for a Special Experience on the Courthouse Green in Somerville… Step inside a replica of George Washington’s Revolutionary War Tent! George Washington's Revolutionary War tent was the office and sleeping quarters that Washington used as the Continental Army’s command center. Somerset County welcomes the Museum of the American Revolution and their replica of Washington's tent to the Courthouse Green this Journey through the Past.  Tent set up begins at 9:30 a.m. on October 8, 2022, come early and help set it up!

In recognition of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in partnership with RWJBH Somerset, Bridgewater Commons join forces this October through a series of events, creative moments throughout the center and retail promotions to educate, encourage women to schedule their mammograms and embrace hope. Join us for an inspirational concert with the NJ Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players, a proud partner of RWJBH Somerset, performing music of hope during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. RWJBH Somerset will on hand to educate the public about Breast Cancer Awareness and schedule mammogram appointments.

Colored Pencil In-Person Workshop Saturday, October 15 1:00 -4:00 pm $55 members / $65 non-members In this workshop, students will learn to better master colored pencils with techniques for blending colors, creating hard or soft edges, and heightening value. This workshop will also go over proportion and perspective, how to make objects appear 3-dimensional, and how to better understand and utilize the colors we have. Think of the subjects you'd like to draw with colored pencils: a still life, a floral, a landscape, or a portrait. The possibilities are endless! Students are welcomed to bring their own reference photos to class. The Witches and Ghouls continue to haunt the planetarium.  They love our laser songs, including “The Adams Family Theme Song,” “Monster Mash,” and “Ghostbusters.” (recommended for ages 8-adult) Not for young viewers or those easily scared!  Features songs including “Alive” by Meatloaf, “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” by The Charlie Daniels Band.  (Recommended for ages 13 to adult)
