This year, join us for a Special Experience on the Courthouse Green in Somerville… Step inside a replica of George Washington’s Revolutionary War Tent! George Washington's Revolutionary War tent was the office and sleeping quarters that Washington used as the Continental Army’s command center. Somerset County welcomes the Museum of the American Revolution and their replica of Washington's tent to the Courthouse Green this Journey through the Past.  Tent set up begins at 9:30 a.m. on October 8, 2022, come early and help set it up!

In recognition of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in partnership with RWJBH Somerset, Bridgewater Commons join forces this October through a series of events, creative moments throughout the center and retail promotions to educate, encourage women to schedule their mammograms and embrace hope. Join us for an inspirational concert with the NJ Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players, a proud partner of RWJBH Somerset, performing music of hope during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. RWJBH Somerset will on hand to educate the public about Breast Cancer Awareness and schedule mammogram appointments.

Colored Pencil In-Person Workshop Saturday, October 15 1:00 -4:00 pm $55 members / $65 non-members In this workshop, students will learn to better master colored pencils with techniques for blending colors, creating hard or soft edges, and heightening value. This workshop will also go over proportion and perspective, how to make objects appear 3-dimensional, and how to better understand and utilize the colors we have. Think of the subjects you'd like to draw with colored pencils: a still life, a floral, a landscape, or a portrait. The possibilities are endless! Students are welcomed to bring their own reference photos to class. The Witches and Ghouls continue to haunt the planetarium.  They love our laser songs, including “The Adams Family Theme Song,” “Monster Mash,” and “Ghostbusters.” (recommended for ages 8-adult) Not for young viewers or those easily scared!  Features songs including “Alive” by Meatloaf, “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” by The Charlie Daniels Band.  (Recommended for ages 13 to adult)

It’s baaaack… Returning for the 11th time is Wagner Farm Arboretum’s spectacular Halloween-themed “Brite Nites” evening event, showcasing an elaborate display of intricately & creatively hand-carved and LED lighted pumpkins. Updated displays and new installations will be added in 2022. NOTE THIS CHANGE IN EVENT FORMAT:: BRITE NITES WILL BE A DRIVE-THRU FORMAT ON THURSDAY 10/13 AND REQUIRES TIMED-ENTRY TICKETS. BRITE NITES WILL BE A WALK-THRU FORMAT ON FRIDAY 10/14 & SATURDAY 10/15 AND WILL REQUIRE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS (NOT TIMED-ENTRY). DRIVE-THRU EVENT INFORMATION Drive-Thru Dates: Thursdays only - Oct 13, 20 & 27 Drive-Thru Timing: Timed entry tickets begin at 6:30 pm and are issued at 15 minute intervals until 9:00 pm.
