Come join the Ukrainian History and Education Center for self-guided and expert-guided tours at St. Andrew Cemetery & Mausoleum, the Fisher Family Cemetery and St. Andrew Memorial Church in Somerset/South Bound Brook! Saturday, October 8, 2022 Hours: 10 am to 5 pm Guided Tour: 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm Sunday, October 9, 2022 Hours: Noon to 4 pm Guided Tour: 2 pm Weekend Highlights Include: *Self-guided tour of St. Andrew Cemetery & Mausoleum highlights *Fisher Family Cemetery plot *Video presentation on the history of the cemetery and St. Andrew Memorial Church *Printed and online (smartphone) walking guide *Scavenger hunt and other kid’s activities *All tours and presentations will be outdoors *St. Andrew Memorial Church will be opened for private reflection (stairs & wheelchair accessible) Ample parking at 280 Main Street / South Bound Brook, NJ 08880 This two-day event is part of Somerset County's Weekend Journey Through the Past. Winter Market & Christmas Tree Lighting
NJ, United States12-7 PM: Winter Market The Winter Market will be held at Bishop Janes United Methodist Church on 22 S. Finley Ave in Basking Ridge. With over 30 local vendors and artisans, the Winter Market is a great place to shop for holiday wares and pick up gifts for family and friends! Children can participate in holiday crafts. And Christmas trees and wreaths will also be available for sale. ?5-5:30 PM: Christmas Tree Lighting The Christmas Tree Lighting will be held in Downtown Basking Ridge on the front steps of Coldwell Banker at 1 S. Finley Ave. Performances will include the Jamestown Duo, Trilogy Repertory, and Matthew White. And then we will have the Countdown to the Tree Lighting. Please come out and join us for this event. You can also watch the event virtually on this website. ?5:45-6:45 PM: Visit Santa Children are invited to visit Santa on the front porch of Ridge Family Dentistry. ?From 5-7 PM, the Parks & Recreation Department will be on S. Finley Ave providing sweet treats, a holiday craft/giveaway and fun family photo opportunities.

This year, join us for a Special Experience on the Courthouse Green in Somerville… Step inside a replica of George Washington’s Revolutionary War Tent! George Washington's Revolutionary War tent was the office and sleeping quarters that Washington used as the Continental Army’s command center. Somerset County welcomes the Museum of the American Revolution and their replica of Washington's tent to the Courthouse Green this Journey through the Past. Tent set up begins at 9:30 a.m. on October 8, 2022, come early and help set it up!
Colonial Christmas Tree Lighting
NJ, United StatesJacobus Vanderveer is having their annual tree lighting celebration! Festivities include photos with Santa, live holiday music, docent led house tours, holiday pull, colonial re-enactors, holiday decor sale, and decorate your own gingerbread man. Refreshments will be available. Liberty Tree will be lit at 5:30pm.
