Please note that there are no picnics at the Display Gardens outside of this time and there are no picnics allowed at the Cut Flower Fields ever. What to Bring: Bring your own picnic and enjoy the bloom! We recommend you bring a picnic blanket and whatever else you need to make yourself comfortable on the lawns. What is in Bloom: You are welcome to walk the gardens and enjoy the bloom. See our Bloom Timeline section for details on what is in bloom. The volume of flowers changes drastically through the season. How Much: Adults $20, children $10. There’s no need to buy a ticket online or make a reservation at this time. Hillsborough Municipal Building 379 S Branch Rd, Hillsborough, New JerseySalute to Military Service Breakfast, Memorial Day Parade, and Commemoration Program For the past 18 years, the Hillsborough community has come together to honor the service and sacrifice of all veterans during the Annual Salute to Veterans Breakfast, Memorial Day Parade, and Garden of Honor Commemoration Program. “Each year we look forward to the Salute to Military Service and Veteran Breakfast. Our teams here at the Township are hard at work planning for another great event. Save the date, Saturday, May 25th, as we unite as a community to honor all military service personnel, past and present for their sacrifices. Additionally, non-profit, community-based organizations are invited to register to march in the parade,” announced Committeewoman and Veteran Liaison Catherine Payne. All veterans, active military, and their families are invited to attend the breakfast. Guests can register for the breakfast by calling the Parks & Recreation Department or visiting the Parks and Recreation website and following the “Register for Activities” link on their homepage. The breakfast begins at 7:30 am. The parade starts at 10:00 am and, as in years past, will be led by Hillsborough Township’s Military Service Personnel. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. U-Pick Strawberries
U-Pick Strawberries U-Pick season is upon us! Strawberry season will begin on May 25th Hours – Saturday/Sunday 9am to 4pm. Last car in at 3:00 Sign up for our newsletter for any mid-week pop up U-Pick days. Picking depends on weather and crop availability, so please check our phone message or social media for any updates before you visit. We currently do not take credit cards or cash apps, an ATM will be on premises. Field fee is $5.00 per person plus cost of berries. (This fee includes your wagon ride to and from the picking field.) Berries are $5.00 per lb. We do not pre-sell tickets – your field/wagon tickets can be purchased at the ticket tent on the front lawn of the big white house. Pre picked berries, seasonal produce, eggs, jar goods and our local honey will be available at our outdoor market. FYI – No entry fee if you just want to visit the outdoor market. Activity area and Jumbo Jumper will be open for the kiddos, entry is $7.00 per child.
