Colored Pencil Workshop In this one-day workshop, students will learn to better master colored pencils with techniques for blending colors, creating hard or soft edges, and heightening value. This workshop will also go over proportion and perspective, how to make objects appear 3-dimensional, and how to better understand and utilize the colors we have.  Think of the subjects you’d like to draw with colored pencils: a still life, a floral, a landscape, or a portrait.  The possibilities are endless!  Students are welcome to bring their own reference photos to class. Art After Hours Pottery Date Night at the Center for Contemporary Art Come on out and get dirty with a date night in the ceramics studio! Couples (and singles) are invited to come out for an intimate experience of throwing on the potters wheel. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the throwing process and give you options for decorating and glazing. We will glaze, fire and package your creation for pickup. Light refreshments will be provided. Please wear or change into clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
