Join the instructors for Sherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary photography workshop series for an exhibit of nature-oriented photography Phil and Becky Witt, David and Cathy DesRochers, Jack and Ellen Moskowitz and Jacki Dickert will have a show of their nature- oriented images in the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery! Morning Oil Painting Course 

Morning Oil Painting Course *Adult 13 week art course starting Tuesday's September 12 - December 05, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm The focus of this class is to train the student in the basic skills needed to paint in oils with particular attention to the use of color, light, shadow, composition, brush handling and materials. Students work from photographs from either the instructor or from their own collection. Every class, a weekly challenge will be demonstrated focusing on either subject matter, technique or other various painting elements. The student can watch the demo and either execute the exercise or use the demo as a learning tool and apply to their continuing project. NOTE: There is no class on 10/31. Special Notes All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. Morning Watercolor Course 

Morning Watercolor Course *Adult 12 week art course starting Tuesday's September 12 - November 28, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm Enjoy the wonderful world of watercolor in this fun and relaxed class. Working from still life subjects and photographs, students learn basic and advanced techniques of watercolor, including washes, glazing and controlling edges, underscoring the importance of saving the light in translucent watercolor. Students are invited to work at their own level with guidance from the instructor. Note: This is the IN-STUDIO component of a hybrid class. There will be students connecting virtually via Zoom concurrently with students participating in-studio.Class Level: Adult and Teens 16+ (All Levels) Special Notes All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. The Power of Pastels Course

The Power of Pastels Course *Adult 13 week art course starting Tuesday's September 12 - December 05, 01:00 pm - 03:30 pm Understand the power of pastels! In this class students will learn how to work with several pastels, surfaces and techniques. A range of subject matter will be addressed such as still life, landscape, animals, and more. NOTE: There is no class on 10/31. Special Notes All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Policies and Procedures.   Materials The more pastels the better! A great starter set is Prismacolor Nupastels. The minimum set recommended is 36 count. Surfaces are important for pastels. Pastelmat by Clairfontaine is recommended. (A variety pack in several colors in 9 x 12 size is encouraged) Other great pastel brands that are optional: Unison, Terry Ludwig, Sennelier.

Artist Studio: Your Choice – Course

Artist Studio: Your Choice - Course *Adult 12 week art course starting Tuesday's September 12 - November 28, 01:00 pm - 03:30 pm Join illustrator Lena Shiffman and pick your favorite medium for painting or drawing from your own photos, still life or photos that Lena will provide each week. The instructor will work with students to improve their drawing and painting skills. Demonstrations and individual attention will be offered. Students can work on a new project each week or spend a longer time creating one piece. Students are encouraged to bounce off ideas, explore new mediums and styles. NOTE: This is the IN-STUDIO component of a hybrid class. There will be students participating IN-STUDIO concurrently with students participating ONLINE via Zoom.Class Level: Adult and Teens 16+ (All Levels) Special Notes All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. Champion Access to Healthy Food - Grow a Row Pack sunscreen, a hat, and comfy shoes to join United Way for a morning on the farm picking and packing produce for local ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families and childcare providers enrolled in our United In Care project in Warren County. Bring your friends, coworkers, and family members, including children ages 5 and up. Registration is $25 per person.
