"Blithe Spirit" at Farmstead Arts Center The Lord Stirling Theater Company will perform the comedy classic “Blithe Spirit” by Noël Coward in the English Barn Theater at the Farmstead Arts Center, 450 King George Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. “Blithe Spirit” will open on Friday, June 2, at 7:30PM, with additional performances on June 3 at 7:30PM, June 4 at 4:00PM, June 9 and 10 at 7:30PM, and June 11 at 4:00PM. Tickets are $25 general admission, $23 for seniors (65 and over) and students, $20 for Farmstead Arts members, and $15 for children under 12. To gather material, he and his wife Ruth invite local medium Madame Arcati to dinner, along with their friends the Bradmans. Charles is hoping to find a fraud, but perhaps Madame Arcati conjures up more than he expected.? “Blithe Spirit” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. Murder by the Book at Somerset Valley Players Crisp, witty exchanges pepper this lighthearted and inventive thriller that unfolds with a series of macabre twists.  A thriller writer indulges in vitriolic word duels with his estranged wife, as an amateur detective attempts to solve a murder. And more deadly games are in-store and the tables are turned more than once for the victim and the killers.

Morning Walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. One person per ticket. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please bring binoculars if you have them.
