American Theater Group, a professional Actors Equity company, presents the musical “PARADE” This Tony-Award winning musical by Jason Robert Brown (Bridges of Madison County) and Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy) dramatizes the story of Leo Frank, a factory manager accused of murdering a young employee.  The 1913 Trial of the Century created a media frenzy full of half-truths, innuendo and unabashed bigotry. Directed by Tony Award nominee, Hunter Foster. Hunter Foster is the Artistic Director for the Redhouse Arts Center in Syracuse, NY where he most recently directed Rent and God of Carnage. He directed The Other Josh Cohen off-Broadway at the West Side theatre in NYC and was named the 2018 “Director of the Year” by the Wall Street Journal for his productions of 42nd Street at the Bucks County Playhouse, and The Drowsy Chaperone at the Goodspeed Opera House. Located at the Community Hub at Bridgewater Commons, Main Level across from the LEGO Store. Somerville High School, in partnership with Bridgewater Commons, proudly showcase over 400 pieces of student artwork from grades 9 -12 on display in a gallery setting at the Community Hub, elevating their annual March celebration of the arts. The artwork will include digital and fine arts from pencil, paint, pen, and ink to mixed media pieces and photography. Somerville High School has been serving students in 9th thru 12th grades from Somerville and Branchburg Township in Somerset County since 1888.

Led by Randy Little, Associate Naturalist For beginners and those with some experience, this birding-by-song series will improve your bird identification skills. More often than not, birds are heard before they are seen (if seen at all!) Learning their songs will add another dimension to your birdwatching. Randy Little is a former NJA board member and long-time NJA volunteer. Randy learned birding as a youngster under the wings of the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology’s founders and is a master at recording bird songs for the Cornell Lab. This series will begin Thursday March 2 and continue every Thursday evening until April 6.  March 2 & 9 classes will cover the winter resident birds, March 16 & 23 classes will cover the early migrant birds, and March 30 & April 6 classes will cover the summer resident birds.  After the end of the series participants may join Randy for a free, outdoor, “practical hands-on” Learning the Birds by Song walk at the Sanctuary.
