Santa at the Commons
NJHere Comes Santa Claus! The Jolly O’ St. Nick welcomes children of all ages for enchanted visits filled with holiday magic. Located in Center Court on the shopping center’s Lower Level, visits to Santa Celebration will begin Saturday, Nov. 12 through Saturday, Dec. 24. Set amongst 25 garland-topped light curtains (each adorned with thousands of white, glistening lights) and candy-cane inspired twists cascading from high above, Santa Celebration will feature an authentic Kris Kringle perched in his grand velvet chair on an elevated platform behind his adoring guests. A bright and cheery, red photo frame sits in front of the famed wish-fulfiller proclaiming, “Holiday Joy.” Photo reservation and schedule page coming soon! Santa Photo Special Events Santa’s Luau! - Wed, Nov. 30, 4pm – close. Santa may work in the cold during the holidays, but he loves the tropics too! Don your best Hawaiian gear and join the fun! Santa Cares Day – Sunday, Dec. 4, 10am – 11am and Sunday, Dec. 18, 9am – 10am. Visits with Santa for those community members with special needs including and beyond that of autism. Children and adults within all spectrums of special needs and their families are welcome to their sensory-friendly event to experience

This year, join us for a Special Experience on the Courthouse Green in Somerville… Step inside a replica of George Washington’s Revolutionary War Tent! George Washington's Revolutionary War tent was the office and sleeping quarters that Washington used as the Continental Army’s command center. Somerset County welcomes the Museum of the American Revolution and their replica of Washington's tent to the Courthouse Green this Journey through the Past. Tent set up begins at 9:30 a.m. on October 8, 2022, come early and help set it up!
The Nutcracker
NJCelebrate this annual Nutcracker tradition with your family! Featuring a live orchestra! This holiday favorite tells the magical story of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they battle toy soldiers and larger-than-life mice, and travel through a whirlwind of dancing snowflakes to the Land of Sweets. Greeted by the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier, Clara enjoys a suite of brilliant and joyful dances before opening her eyes to the familiar sights of her home, wondering if it was all a dream.
Festival of Trees
NJDecember is the time to visit the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center (EEC) to welcome winter and get into the holiday spirit! The festival is an indoor exhibit of decorated trees by various community groups and individuals alike. Enjoy holiday music and relax while viewing the beautiful trees! Please call 908-722-1200 (ext. 5328) or email mjuhasz@scparks.org to participate as an exhibitor and decorate a tree, to make group reservations or for more information. Pictures with Santa at Neshanic Volunteer Fire Company
NJBring your child, family, or pet to the Neshanic Volunteer Fire Company for a picture with Santa. Doors open at 1:00pm and event ends at 4:00pm. After your visit with Santa, your child will be able to make a picture frame for that special picture and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate. For a suggested donation of $20.00 per family you can bring a wrapped present, limit one present per child, to the fire house on December 16th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm to drop off the wrapped present. On the day of the event when your child goes up to see Santa the wrapped present will be given by Santa to your child
Pre Winter Farm Days
NJIt's that feeling you get when Christmas time comes, and you smell the cookies baking in the oven and the sound of holiday music coming from your Bluetooth speakers. So why not upgrade your yuletide joy with a holiday hayride at Norz Hill Farm! Norz Hill Farm offers Hayride experiences complete with holiday lights, animal and outdoor interactive displays, a spin by the animals, and perhaps a stop by Santa's cornfield office! Bring the blankets and bundle up for a cozy, heart-lifting time. Bring your camera and take your Holiday Pictures (no professional photographers, please) Warming Fire - toast up some marshmallows and enjoy some hot cocoa. The Home Farm Stand will be open so you can stock up on meats, pies, pasta, and so much more. Tickets are available for evenings every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 25th through December 18th. Click here to dates and times.
