Santa at the Commons
NJHere Comes Santa Claus! The Jolly O’ St. Nick welcomes children of all ages for enchanted visits filled with holiday magic. Located in Center Court on the shopping center’s Lower Level, visits to Santa Celebration will begin Saturday, Nov. 12 through Saturday, Dec. 24. Set amongst 25 garland-topped light curtains (each adorned with thousands of white, glistening lights) and candy-cane inspired twists cascading from high above, Santa Celebration will feature an authentic Kris Kringle perched in his grand velvet chair on an elevated platform behind his adoring guests. A bright and cheery, red photo frame sits in front of the famed wish-fulfiller proclaiming, “Holiday Joy.” Photo reservation and schedule page coming soon! Santa Photo Special Events Santa’s Luau! - Wed, Nov. 30, 4pm – close. Santa may work in the cold during the holidays, but he loves the tropics too! Don your best Hawaiian gear and join the fun! Santa Cares Day – Sunday, Dec. 4, 10am – 11am and Sunday, Dec. 18, 9am – 10am. Visits with Santa for those community members with special needs including and beyond that of autism. The Nutcracker
NJCelebrate this annual Nutcracker tradition with your family! Featuring a live orchestra! This holiday favorite tells the magical story of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they battle toy soldiers and larger-than-life mice, and travel through a whirlwind of dancing snowflakes to the Land of Sweets. Greeted by the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier, Clara enjoys a suite of brilliant and joyful dances before opening her eyes to the familiar sights of her home, wondering if it was all a dream.

George Washington's Revolutionary War tent was the office and sleeping quarters that Washington used as the Continental Army’s command center. Somerset County welcomes the Museum of the American Revolution and their replica of Washington's tent to the Courthouse Green this Journey through the Past. Tent set up begins at 9:30 a.m. on October 8, 2022, come early and help set it up!
Festival of Trees
NJDecember is the time to visit the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center (EEC) to welcome winter and get into the holiday spirit! The festival is an indoor exhibit of decorated trees by various community groups and individuals alike. Enjoy holiday music and relax while viewing the beautiful trees! The Polar Express Paint Me a Story Event

Queens’ Trees Candlelight Tours

This festive historic houses tour concludes our own jubilee year for 125 years of historic preservation at Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage from Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897 to Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. The Wallace House and Old Dutch Parsonage Association are dedicated supporters of Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites carrying on the tradition of civic engagement in historic preservation at Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage begun 125 years in 1897 by the Revolutionary Memorial Society of New Jersey. Today the association supports the State Park Service as New Jersey prepares for the 250th anniversary of New Jersey’s first Constitution in 2026 and George Washington’s winter headquarters at Wallace House in 2028-29: http://www.wallacehouseassociation.org/join.htm
Holiday Pops!
NJDeck the Halls with Brook Orchestra! It is the final countdown to Holiday Pops. We hope to see everyone Sunday December 18th at 3:00 PM, at what is sure to be a concert full of joy and holiday spirit! This afternoon concert will feature popular staples of the orchestral repertoire, featuring selections from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, Debussy’s Children’s Corner Suite, as well as popular marches, waltzes, and holiday favorites. Norz Hill Farm offers Hayride experiences complete with holiday lights, animal and outdoor interactive displays, a spin by the animals, and perhaps a stop by Santa's cornfield office! Bring the blankets and bundle up for a cozy, heart-lifting time. Bring your camera and take your Holiday Pictures (no professional photographers, please) Warming Fire - toast up some marshmallows and enjoy some hot cocoa.
