This powerful female a cappella quintet from Zimbabwe has drawn international acclaim for its inventive performances that range from traditional Zimbabwean songs to afro jazz to gospel, performed with pure voices, minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments and authentic dance movements. The group represents a new generation of young African women singers who celebrate and preserve their culture, beauty, and heritage through art, and believe that music can be an important vehicle for change that transcends racial, tribal, religious, gender, and economic boundaries. Nobuntu’s vocals, energy and breathtaking performance on stage is an experience that inspires and touches people of all cultures and walks of life.
