With ridiculous regulations on NJ Breweries - a non-amplified musical performance does NOT count against our "live" on-premises events...so our 100% ACOUSTIC NON-AMPLIFIED Bluegrass Session is more appreciated than ever! Unlike a performance, the musicians at a session are playing for enjoyment - as much for each other as for anyone who may come to listen. There may be a core group of players, and others who drop in now and then. In fact, we never know who will show up, or what instruments they may play. All completely acoustic and unamplified bringing the barn naturally to life! Usually one person will start a tune, and those who know it join in. We play it until we feel like stopping, or we switch tunes. To this group of musicians, virtuosity is less valued than the collective effort. At Flounder we strive to bring amazing musical talent to the Barns without ever charging a cover charge.
