Become culturally immersed in the beats, songs, and lessons that come from the art of playing the djembe drum. Be ready to sing and drum along! The African culture is all about participation. The Price of Silence: The Forgotten Story of New Jersey's Enslaved People In recognition of Black History Month, join for an eye-opening event as we delve into the untold history of enslaved people in New Jersey. In this two-part screening, we will view: Part 1: The Price of Silence, The Forgotten Story of New Jersey’s Enslaved People and Part 2: The Price of Silence, The Lasting Impact of Slavery in New Jersey. A discussion will follow the screening of each part with filmmaker Ridgeley Hutchinson of Truehart Productions and cast members Beverly Mills, Elaine Buck, and Kristal Langford.
