Magical Christmas Ballet, Friday, November 29, with performances at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Part of RVCCArts’ Mainstage series, Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet offers the gift of Christmas to the entire family. Celebrate America’s favorite Christmas tradition with an international all-star cast that blends world-class ballet with whimsical puppets, lavish costumes, and stunning acrobatics. Share the tradition of pure holiday magic and Tchaikovsky’s timeless score with friends and family of all ages. Local audiences won’t want to miss the chance to create memories of a lifetime. The production features renowned dancers from around the world, Broadway-level sets and costumes, and vibrant new choreography that fuses classical ballet, puppetry, and acrobatics. Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet is a holiday spectacular that has received acclaim from critics and audiences alike. As is the custom, local students of Gotta Dance will perform along with the professional dancers of the world-renowned company. Caroline Hidalgo and Erin Ford coordinate the auditions and rehearsals for the approximately 100 young dancers from Gotta Dance, which has studios in Basking Ridge, Bridgewater, Martinsville, and Warren. Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Pre-registration Required. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Creative Women’s Showcase
Creative Women's Showcase The Center is pleased to present the Creative Women’s Showcase exhibition on view November 1 – December 8, 2024, curated by Ilisa Zollenberg. Exhibiting artists Serena Bocchino (Basking Ridge), Meeta Garg (Basking Ridge), Ivey Kampouris (Bridgewater), Grace Martoccia (Basking Ridge), Seanna Noonan (Basking Ridge), Carolina W. Rivera (Califon), Isabell Villacis (South Bound Brook), and Ilisa Zollenberg (Basking Ridge) will showcase their work in mixed media, pastels, acrylic, photography, and more. Ilisa Zollenberg, Curator, says “Art is a powerful communicator. It connects us to each other. It introduces us to strangers. It is a storyteller of the soul. It entices the audience to look further into a message that needs to be told.” There will be a special opening reception, free and open to the public, on November 1 from 5:30-9pm with a celebration of women artists and business owners with an art exhibition, vendor sale, and meet & greet.

Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!! Our helpers are all volunteers, so tipping is appreciated.
