The Texier House Museum is typically open the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month from 2pm to 4pm, but be sure to periodically check this page for any updates or event closings. Admission is FREE. Donations are always greatly appreciated.

This exhibition highlights artistic expression as a vital healing tool, helping individuals process emotions, share their journeys, and reconnect with themselves and their communities. Through painting, sculpture, photography and more, participants find strength, resilience, and hope. “The Art of Recovery” celebrates how creativity fosters personal growth, reduces stigma, and unites communities.
A Paddling Afternoon
A Paddling Afternoon (All Ages, 10 years and older with parent) Join for a relaxing afternoon of some of the prettiest paddling in the state. We will explore quiet coves, discover tranquil hideaways, enjoy scenic vistas, and savor the solitude of the water! Bring a snack and water. Bus transportation provided. Participants will meet at the Environmental Education Center, 190 Lord Stirling Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. Pre-registration is required.

Norz Hill Farm Farmers Market
Norz Hill Farm Farmers Market In addition to its regular farm market hours, Norz Hill Farm is adding a weekly farmers market to its schedule of community-friendly events this summer. Taking place on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at 120 South Branch Road in Hillsborough, the market will feature wholesome foods and items from area vendors. “The purpose of the market is to offer fresh food and products to Somerset County and neighboring regions,” said Megan Norz, the farm market manager. The market will take place rain or shine, except in the event of severe weather. Best Lake 45 Valley Road, Watchung, United StatesWatchung Farmers Market The Farmers Market will provide residents with an opportunity to access local products from local vendors. Returning vendors include Gramps Kitchen, Hot Graham Sauce Company, Lulu Artisanal Lemonade, Paolo's Kitchen, Pickle Culture, Pies & Quiches, Schiefersteins Farm, Smart Buy Natural Foods, and Sutton Farms. • Joining us this year are AquaSprout Farms, Barking Good Bakery, Complex Herbal Blends, Pourtuga Coffee House, Raining Sprinkles Bake Shop, River Valley Community Grains, Wood Box Soap, and Zell’s Farm. The list of young vendors from the Valley View Young Entrepreneurs Club is expanding. Crystals and Co. and Sunny Dayz Jewelry will be joined by Happy Henna and Commendable Candles. More vendors are anticipated and there will be special events, such as music and tables by local scouting troops. There will once again be a borough table providing information from CERT/OEM and the Environmental Commission. There will be a Watchung Lions Club collection box for eyeglasses and hearing aids.
