Hand Build a Gnome or Two
Hand Build a Gnome or Two with Burnt Mill Potters ANYONE CAN DO IT...really! No artistic skills necessary. (age 10 and older) Hand-build one, two or three gnomes using slabs of clay and sculpture techniques under the watchful guidance of experienced clay artists. Many design ideas are available or bring your own creativity! You will also utilize various decorative techniques, such as underglaze painting, carving and attaching 3D elements. Finished glazed pieces will be available for pick up about 4 weeks later. 5 inch gnomes are $30 each. 7 inch gnomes are $40 each. 9 inch gnomes are $50. Payment will be accepted with Venmo, Zelle or cash the day of the event.

A Murder Is Announced The Lord Stirling Theater Company will perform the Agatha Christie murder mystery “A Murder Is Announced” in the English Barn Theater at the Farmstead Arts Center, 450 King George Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. “A Murder Is Announced” will open on Friday, October 20, at 7:30PM, with additional performances on October 21 at 7:30PM, October 22 at 2:00PM, October 27 and 28 at 7:30PM, and October 29 at 2:00PM. Tickets are $25 general admission, $23 for seniors (65 and over) and students, $20 for Farmstead Arts members, and $15 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased online at https://farmsteadartscenter.org or at the door (cash only). Based on Agatha Christie’s 1950 novel of the same name and adapted for the stage in 1977 by Leslie Darbon, “A Murder Is Announced” takes place in the quiet, little village of Chipping Cleghorn, where the residents are astonished to read an advertisement in the local newspaper that gives the date and time a murder will take place at the home of Letitia Blacklock. Unable to resist their curiosity, a group gathers at the house at the appointed time, when the lights go out and gunshots are fired. The body of a stranger is found lying on the drawing
Drumming Among the Trees

Mr. McCurdy will guide the group in the drum circle, sure to be a therapeutic, meditative and recreational hour that initiates a deep human connection between rhythm, community and nature. This fusion of visual storytelling and eerie organ music will transport you back in time to the golden age of silent cinema, offering an experience that modern horror films simply cannot match. Organist, Don Kinnier, returns to the Brook Theatre this October for two rare Halloween Silent Film Screenings: “Edison’s Frankenstein” and Doug Fairbanks in “When the Clouds Roll By”.
