From representing the USA at international swim competitions, Laura came back on land with a full heart and a ton of stories. She performs regularly in NYC and across the world. Her highly popular podcast Risque Business News is a top download on iTunes and Spotify. Her appearances on Don’t Tell Comedy, ESPN and ABC still are not as good as seeing her live. Matthew Broussard Matthew’s career launched when he was awarded winner of Houston’s Funniest Person and has gone on to appearances on television and film. An Applied Mathematics major and work as a financial analyst did not keep Matthew from performing on Conan, Fallon, At Midnight and much more. A decorated veteran of Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, Matthew also has written for many shows including the Roast of Tom Brady and appeared in movies

Wagner Farm Arboretum's Halloween-themed “Brite Nites” event features a spectacular display of intricately and creatively hand-carved and LED-lit pumpkin scenes. Don’t miss the exciting new displays and installations planned for 2024. Angela Pilgrim & Barbara Wallace Solo Exhibitions at The Center for Contemporary Art The Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to present two fall solo exhibitions on view September 27 through December 8. Angela Pilgrim: New Growth presents the work of Angela Pilgrim whose studio is in Newark, New Jersey. She explains, “My work explores the Black female gaze through figurative imagery of the body. Utilizing portraiture, printmaking, pattern making and mixed media.” Barbara Wallace: Sculpture showcases the work of sculptor Barbara Wallace, who resides in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Wallace is a sculptor known for her figurative art works and innovative use of recycled materials. When discussing her work, she explains, “Shape, form and structure are essential aspects of my sculptures created with a paper mache technique in recycled paper, cardboard, wire, metal and acrylic paint…. Using up-cycled resources addresses my concerns about climate change and the environment.”

Weekend Journey Through the Past The annual Weekend Journey through the Past is an opportunity to step back in time and experience the county's rich history. Up to 30 historic sites countywide are open free to the public during this weekend in October. Somerset County’s annual Journey Through The Past is an initiative of the Somerset County Board of County Commissioners and the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission in collaboration with many county-wide local historical organizations and commissions and other county organizations.
