The Art of Recovery: Connecting Through Transformative Creativity In observance of September as National Recovery Month The Center in partnership with Community in Connection is pleased to present “The Art of Recovery.” “The Art of Recovery” showcases the transformative power of creativity in personal recovery. This exhibition highlights artistic expression as a vital healing tool, helping individuals process emotions, share their journeys, and reconnect with themselves and their communities. Through painting, sculpture, photography and more, participants find strength, resilience, and hope. “The Art of Recovery” celebrates how creativity fosters personal growth, reduces stigma, and unites communities.

Hayride, Corn Maze, and Pumpkin Picking Event Experience the best of fall at our farm with our Hayride, Corn Maze, and Petting Zoo event! Starting in late September and running through October, this event offers an outdoor adventure for the whole family. Your $18 admission includes a scenic round-trip hayride through the farm, a journey through our fun-filled corn maze, entry to our pumpkin patch, and petting zoo admission (where you can meet and pet our friendly farm animals). While pumpkins and gourds are not included in the ticket, they are available for purchase in the field! (cash only, by size). Children under 24 months old enjoy free admission. Walk an Alpaca – Saturday Mornings
Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!! Our helpers are all volunteers, so tipping is appreciated.

The Head that Wears the Crown: Black Women’s Headwear Exhibit From slavery to freedom, Black women have expressed their creativity and resistance through the crowns of their heads. From head wraps to “church hats,” headwear symbolized freedom, commitment to spiritual life, and a love for fashion that enslaved and free women shared. The Head that Wears the Crown explores the past, present, and future of African American women’s headwear. RSVP in advance and pay what you can (suggested admission: $10). Admission is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
