Deni Bonet and Chris Flynn
The Watchung Arts Center 18 Stirling Rd, Watchung, United StatesDeni Bonet and Chris Flynn are a New York-based Americana, folk-rock duo whose blend of voices, virtuoso violin, guitar, and humor have entertained and captivated audiences from Carnegie Hall to Mountain Stage to the White House. "The whole is greater than the sum of the parts". So it is with Deni Bonet & Chris Flynn. As individual artists, they have more than made their mark in music. As a duo, they have created something extra, engaging and extremely entertaining. Bonet's voice and violin, and Flynn's guitar and voice, have echoed through the United Nations and the White House, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Mountain Stage. They have shared stages with REM, Cyndi Lauper, Richard Thompson, Warren Zevon, Sarah McLachlan, Alan Toussaint, and many others. Deni Bonet & Chris Flynn’s audiences have ranged from festivalgoers, to Presidents. They've performed their original music as soloists with several full symphony orchestras. For the last seven years, they have melded that skill, experience and musicality on stages across Europe and America, from festivals to house concerts, libraries to radio stations. In the work, I see a shared impulse to reimagine our material lives and explore new models for caregiving, resilience, and celebration. The Forage War: Winter 1777 in Revolutionary New Jersey
The winter of 1777 saw a Forage War across Somerset County and the surrounding region as the Continental Army and New Jersey Militia fought a continuing campaign of skirmishes with British and Hessian forces, denying them access to vital provisions and ultimately the interior of New Jersey. Will Krakower, New Jersey’s historian for Princeton Battlefield State Park, introduces the Forage War of January – March 1777 and shares research into this critical but understudied period of the Revolutionary War.

Step into the golden age of Hollywood with the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra! On March 9th at 3pm, experience the silent film masterpiece Sherlock Jr., brought to life with its original 1924 orchestral score and sound effects performed live by the PRO. Led by Founder and Conductor Rick Benjamin, this event is a dazzling combination of humor, stunts, and movie palace magic for all ages. Buster Keaton stars as a movie theater projectionist dreaming of becoming a detective. Accused of a crime he didn’t commit, he must clear his name, catch the real culprits, and win the girl—all while performing jaw-dropping stunts. The event also features an additional silent film short and musical selections by the internationally renowned Paragon Ragtime Orchestra. Don’t miss this unforgettable afternoon of cinema and live music at the historic Brook Theater. Paragon Ragtime Orchestra concerts are sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
