Our friendly instructors are here to support you every step of the way, ready to answer any cookie-related questions you might have. By the end of the class, not only will you take home a delightful stash of beautifully decorated cookies, but you'll also walk away with newfound confidence and skills that will elevate your cookie game to the next level!

  • Advanced Silkscreen

    Thursdays, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM March 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th Take your practice to the next level! This 4 week class will focus on creating multi-layer prints by exposing hand-drawn separations onto silkscreens. Students will learn every step of the process, plus tips and tricks for perfecting the multi-layered print. Class time will include demonstrations, one-on-one work with the instructor, group discussions, and creating a new body of work or experimenting with new ideas. Students provide: Sharpie Oil Paint Markers, black each size Pad of newsprint 11x14" Pad of Stonehenge paper 11x14" Pad of clear acetate 11x14" Plastic containers for ink (sour cream, yogurt, takeout cups) Spatulas or spoons for mixing ink Sketchbook Masking tape You own screens (optional) Specialty ink colors (optional) Separately, Frontline Arts provides silkscreen materials About the Instructor: Kristian Battell is an artist practicing in Jersey City, NJ. She completed her Masters of Fine Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York, NY. Battell always considered herself more of a traditional printmaker, having a BFA in Printmaking and Art of the Book from Purchase College, but the pandemic has shifted her practice to sculpture and installation.
