40th Annual Lebanese Festival

St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church 526 Easton Avenue, Somerset

The 40th Annual Lebanese Festival is almost here! This Festival is a great outdoor gathering of families, friends and neighbors for authentic Middle Eastern food, music, dance and culture. Traditional Lebanese foods such as falafel, shawarma (gyro), hummus, spinach pies, tabouhli, stuffed grape leaves and much more will be featured. In addition, there will be a large assortment of Middle Eastern pastries to indulge in. For entertainment, there will be live music featuring a different singer each day. There will also be dancing and folkloric performances along with raffles, prizes, souvenirs and games of chance. Because of the abundance of Middle Eastern cuisine, live music, dancing, and games, the Lebanese Festival is recognized as one of the most outstanding annual events in the community. People from throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the Tri-State region regularly attend. Admission and parking are FREE and everyone is invited!

Battle of Basking Ridge — June 13, 2026 Bernards Township (Basking Ridge), in partnership with Somerset County, has organized a signature community event for Central New Jersey on June 13th, 2026:  The Battle of Basking Ridge Soccer Village & Community Viewing Party to be hosted in the historic Downtown Basking Ridge.  This celebration will feature: Soccer Village and Cultural Street Festival Community watch party for Brazil vs. Morocco at 6 PM International food vendors DJ and cultural performances Soccer skill challenges and demonstrations Family activities and community partners The event coincides with FC Berna’s regional youth soccer tournament expected to draw thousands of visiting families to Bernards Township. Join the Friends of Abraham Staats House and Ghost Is Clear (GIC) Paranormal for a unique evening of exploration. GIC members have experienced and recorded findings during several of their paranormal investigations of this historic home, sharing their experiences with participants at several programs here. Built c. 1740, this was the home of the Staats’ family and others of their household who lived and worked here for nearly 200 years and served as military headquarters for General von Steuben during the American Revolution! Will you be the one to discover a voice of the past? The evening of paranormal investigation begins with a brief welcome and overview from Ghost is Clear Paranormal members. Then, we’ll break into groups to explore select rooms of the house with a variety of investigative equipment. (Feel free to bring your own equipment to try as part of the explorations!).
