Advocating for Your Health Starts Here
Advocating for Your Health Starts Here A Lunch & Learn with Rebecca Bloom, Author of "When Women Get Sick" In partnership with Atlantic Health System Women are often expected to navigate serious illness while deciphering insurance rules, advocating for themselves in medical settings, and managing emotional and logistical burdens that were never designed with them in mind. Join us for a meaningful lunch-hour conversation with Rebecca Bloom, longtime women’s health advocate and author of When Women Get Sick. Drawing on decades of experience working at the intersection of law, insurance, and healthcare, Bloom offers clear, practical guidance for navigating diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Through real stories and actionable insight, this program will explore how women can better communicate with doctors, build effective support systems, and advocate for care that reflects their needs and values. This is not a medical lecture or a traditional book talk. It is a practical, empowering conversation designed to leave attendees with tools they can use immediately, whether they are managing their own health or supporting someone they love. Bagel Lunch will be provided. JCC Member Fee: $10.00 Community Member Fee $25.00
