Peter Chesson Memorial Car Show 2024 Spend Sunday, June 2, at Moorland Farm, where 100's of classic and exotic cars, hot rods and race cars, and everything automotive will be on display. The unique backdrop to this assembly of mechanical horsepower will once again be the estimable Essex Horse Trials. Gates open to spectators at 9:00 AM. Gates will be open for show cars, exhibitors, and vendors by 8:00 AM. Awards ceremonies are slated to commence circa 1:00 PM. Spectator general admission is per car, not per person. Show car passengers do not need to purchase additional admission tickets. This event happens rain or shine, in some format. Therefore, all sales are final and no refunds will be issued. Proceeds from this event benefit LifeCamp. LifeCamp is a fun and educational summertime experience for children and teens from greater Newark, teaching skills for life and school, and supported by donations as a non-profit organization. The Life Camp movement began in 1887, when Life magazine editor John Amos Mitchell founded the “Life’s Fresh Air Fund”. In 1923, James Cox Brady opened the Life Farm on his land in Pottersville, New Jersey, to serve children from Newark. Their rural campus provides a

U-Pick Strawberries
U-Pick Strawberries U-Pick season is upon us! Strawberry season will begin on May 25th Hours – Saturday/Sunday 9am to 4pm. Last car in at 3:00 Sign up for our newsletter for any mid-week pop up U-Pick days. Picking depends on weather and crop availability, so please check our phone message or social media for any updates before you visit. We currently do not take credit cards or cash apps, an ATM will be on premises. Field fee is $5.00 per person plus cost of berries. (This fee includes your wagon ride to and from the picking field.) Berries are $5.00 per lb. We do not pre-sell tickets – your field/wagon tickets can be purchased at the ticket tent on the front lawn of the big white house. Pre picked berries, seasonal produce, eggs, jar goods and our local honey will be available at our outdoor market. FYI – No entry fee if you just want to visit the outdoor market. Activity area and Jumbo Jumper will be open for the kiddos, entry is $7.00 per child. Mark Oldland’s solo exhibition, Puddle Jumping, seeks to expand the public’s perception of what it means to be autistic. Exhibition Runs: June 2, 2024 - July 31, 2024 Opening Reception: Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 1pm-3pm Artist Talk with Q&A: Friday, July 19, 2024 from 6pm-7pm (In-Person or Live on YouTube @frontlinearts) This reception and talk are open to all, and we suggest wearing a face mask. This is an adult-only private event. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Once purchased, your name will be on the list for entry. You can not pay at the door. Wear your favorite shade of PINK in honor of Regina Miller. Food and soft drinks are included in ticket price. Cocktails are available for purchase. Shedfest Music Festival
Shedfest Music Festival Shedfest is an outdoor music festival and fundraiser for Raritan Headwaters held at Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve in Bedminster, NJ. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a fun afternoon listening to great local bands, eating delicious food, and enjoying the outdoors at our beautiful wildlife preserve. We will be featuring live music from Hub Hollow, Hawks & Doves, and Nick Dunbar & Sad Cowboy. A variety of delicious food trucks will be on site including Testo Pizza, Angry Archie's, Marley's Wings & Things, and Cream of the Crop. Enjoy craft beer and cider from Burnt Mills Cider and Sunken Silo Brew Works. General admission tickets are available online for $30 each. Kids age 12 and under are FREE. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $50 on the day of the event. Bring your own chair or blanket. Please leave your pets at home! This event will be rain or shine.
